The American Society for Cellular and Computational Toxicology (ASCCT) is committed to respecting the privacy of those who visit our website and engage with us. The Privacy Policy governs how we collect, store, and use information about our members, contacts, and website visitors. It will be continuously re-examined in light of new technologies and business practices. This privacy policy applies to all personal data processed by volunteers when acting on behalf of ASCCT, and all business processes conducted by ASCCT.

When you participate in, access, or sign up for membership or any of ASCCT’s events, activities, online content, webinars, or create an online account, ASCCT may receive personal information from you. This can consist of information such as your name, email address, telephone numbers, log-in password, location information, educational information, purchasing or payment information, subscription preferences, as well as any additional information you upload or provide to us.

For General Users

ASCCT does not collect any personal identifying information from users just browsing our website. 

For ASCCT Members, Meeting Registrants, and Other Contacts

Personal information collected from you is used to respond to your inquiries and to fulfill a service such as information sharing, meeting registration, or membership renewal. To gain access to member-restricted features, members are asked to provide their email address and password.

ASCCT uses this information to respond to your requests, hold its activities, and fulfill the mission and goals of the organization. ASCCT ensures the security and privacy of any personally identifiable information that we collect. 

ASCCT will only use your personal data for the purposes for which we collect it.

ASCCT may use your personal data based on your consent. By providing ASCCT your personal information, you are actively agreeing to interact with us, through membership and/or other events and services, and are giving us consent to use your personal data. How Long Your Information Is Stored

ASCCT maintains this information for as long as a member or other individual or organization is actively engaged with it and for a minimum of five years after their last interaction.

Disclosure to Third Parties

ASCCT makes member contact and other information available through the SOT website to other members via the online Membership Directory. You can opt out of the Membership Directory by updating your Membership Profile or contacting [email protected].

Responses to Legal Requests

ASCCT reserves the right to share your information to respond to duly authorized information requests of governmental authorities or where required by law. 

How can I control my information?

You can control the information we have about you and how we use it:

  • If you are a registered user, you can revise and correct your information in your member profile.
  • You can manage your email subscription preferences via your member profile.
  • If you no longer wish to interact with ASCCT you can contact us and request that we delete your information.
