Learn Nonanimal Safety Testing at NURA

Wednesday December 11, 2019 09:00AM through Thursday December 12, 2019 06:00PM

Coming to Houston December 11-12, NURA – New Approach Methodology Use for Regulatory Application – will provide free resources to keep you up to speed on methods to incorporate into testing strategies, consulting, and safety assessments. This continuing education program focuses on how to integrate in vitro and in silico methods, which can provide more rapid and predictive safety assessments than stand-alone in vivo testing.

Over the two-day training on Integrated Approaches to Testing and Assessment, will provide dynamic demonstrations on how integrated tools can be used, and how they fit into internal and regulatory safety assessment contexts. Attendees will hear presentations from leaders on new approach methodologies (NAMs) and participate in hands-on demonstrations applicable to acute toxicity, skin sensitization, and developmental neurotoxicity, and other endpoints.

This workshop will be of particular interest to:

  • Cosmetics companies
  • Pharmaceutical companies
  • Chemical companies
  • Toxicology consultants
  • Regulators

NURA training offers not only expert presentations, but also valuable opportunities for scientists, consultants, and regulators to engage in meaningful one-on-one discussions. Scientists will be able to speak candidly with regulators and method developers about their particular chemistries or products.
